New Customers

Hello!

As a former veterinary groomer and AKC master groomer- I currently welcome all breeds of dogs, cats, and pocket pets (guinea pigs, rabbits, and bearded dragons)..... I do have some experience with other animals as well, but these are the ones that I am most comfortable working with right now.

I ask that new clients complete a short consultation by providing their name, their dog's name, and a photo of their dog or pets (text me pics!).
I would also like to know when your pet's last nail trimming was (no judgement- I am here to help!) so that I can book enough time for your first appointment duration without rushing to finish.
Most appointments last anywhere from 10-25 minutes per animal depending on the temperament of the animal.
Also, animals with extra long or curled under nails/ grown out quicks will require a longer appointment time and more work to safely trim.
I welcome any questions you may have if you are unsure of the condition of your pet's nails.
I also don't discriminate based on breed, but do ask that you be honest with me if you know that your animal is nippy.
If your dog or cat is wiggly or a nervous nipper, you are responsible for fully restraining them and putting the muzzle or safety cone on them which I can supply (sometimes it takes 2 family members and some peanut butter to distract them, but you know them better than I do!).
I have an assortment of soft muzzles and safety cones for those who are stressed out by muzzles or have a squishy type of face.
Additionally, in some cases your animals may require a sedative that can be easily prescribed by your vet.
I have a proven track records of safely clipping hundreds of pet's nails over the years without any bleeding, but please be aware that quicks (the vein inside of the nail) can easily be nicked when an animal is agitated or nervous.
In the event that it does happen, I always carry quick stop with me to stop the bleeding and numb the nail.

In extreme cases a veterinary sling can also be used (shown above) which can be either held by a family member (smaller dogs), or suspended from a table (medium sized dogs) that I will bring with me just in case.

Not informing me of your animal being nippy, and me getting bit as a result .....will most likely result in us being unable to work together again in the future.

Dogs who try to bite are not necessarily bad, but owners who know that they bite, but refuse to inform the animal professionals working with them are in my opinion bad owners...so please be respectful of my well being. (Also, Please keep in mind that this is my livelihood, and animal bites often mean injured hands that sometimes take weeks or months to heal depending on the severity of the bite, and I often have difficulty working as a result.)

If I am unable to complete the trimming for some reason (ie an excessively anxious or aggressive pet needs a sedative from the vet in order to proceed), I do ask for a small travel fee of $10 in compensation for my gas and time. (This rarely happens, but when it does, my main concern and priority is always the safety of the animals and humans working with them).

Please know that I do have a "cancellation fee" (if you cancel the day of your appointment or give me less than 24 hours notice that you need to cancel or reschedule I will require a $20 fee to be paid up front in order to rebook with me again).

Remember, I come to YOU and I usually take only 10-15 minutes of your time, so the ability to keep appointments and keep your dog on a regular trimming schedule will mean priority booking for you....plus you will more likely be able to get the time and date that you want if you rebook while I'm with you in person!).

Additional services (ear cleaning, teeth brushing, paw pad or face/sanitary trimming touch ups) are also available when booked in advance for your appointment.

If I don't travel to your area, you are welcome to meet me at a park in an area that I currently trim in (better for dogs than cats...you are still responsible for your animal).
This option is typically weather dependent if there is no pavilion available for use.

I take cash, venmo, zelle, cashapp, or credit cards (square) as payment.

 Also, reviews are extremely helpful!
